Leidos is seeking a Senior Engineer in the Defense Sector to deliver naval engineering analysis, systems upgrades, and FMS-related support for Navy programs. You will supervise shipboard modernization, perform technical reviews, and coordinate with NAVSEA, shipyards, and OEMs.

The role requires 8+ years in engineering with 5+ years in naval systems, a Bachelor’s degree, strong technical writing, and the ability to travel internationally. Active Secret clearance is required; PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Eight (8)+ years of engineering experience, including at least five (5) years in naval engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree required; experience in management of schedules for large, complex projects.
• Experience managing logistics for geographically dispersed or OCONUS environments.
• Strong technical writing, editing, analytical and information organization skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work on vessels.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Preferred: PMP certification.

Responsabilités

• Provide senior-level engineering support for Navy ship, submarine, and combat systems modernization and integration.
• Perform engineering analysis, design reviews, and problem resolution for shipboard requirements.
• Develop and evaluate engineering plans, drawings, procedures, and technical data for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with NAVSEA, NSWC, yards, ship force, OEMs, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Provide oversight for shipboard installation, testing, and modernization activities.
• Identify root causes and develop cost- and schedule-conscious engineering solutions.
• Support government technical meetings and design reviews.
