Job summary

You will assess ease of manufacture, materials, interchangeability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specifications, coordinating with other teams. Candidates will review drawings for accuracy and propose revisions where needed.

• Associates degree with 11 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 9 years of related experience.

• PhD with 4 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs major components or portions of a system to develop or improve products.
• Develops basic data and creates layouts, sketches, and notes for proposals.
• Investigates manufacturability, materials, interchangeability, strength, and specs.
• Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development.
• Checks layouts for clarity, standards compliance, and calculations; revises as needed.
