Job summary

The candidate will develop layouts, assess manufacturability, and coordinate with other design teams to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. A strong communicator with multi-discipline experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus 13 years of relevant experience.
• Associates degree plus 11 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelors degree plus 9 years of relevant experience.
• Masters degree plus 7 years of relevant experience.
• PhD plus 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs major components or major portions of a functional system to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.
• Investigates design factors such as ease of manufacture, materials, interchangeability, strength-weight, and cost per contractual specs.
• Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development and checks layouts for clarity and accuracy.
