Our client, a cutting-edge R&D organization, seeks a Senior Research Scientist in nanomaterial synthesis to lead innovative projects in energy storage, catalysis, and electronics. You will design synthesis pathways, characterize materials, and collaborate across chemists, physicists, and engineers to translate discoveries into practical solutions.

The role requires a PhD with 5+ years in nanomaterials, expertise in multiple synthesis methods, and strong publication records.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or related field with nanomaterials focus.
• 5+ years post-PhD in nanomaterial synthesis and characterization.
• Expert in two or more synthesis methods (e.g., colloidal synthesis, CVD, hydrothermal synthesis) and advanced characterization.
• Proven ability to lead research projects and publish findings.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute synthetic routes for nanoscale materials (nanoparticles, quantum dots, 2D materials).
• Characterize nanomaterials using TEM, SEM, XRD, XPS, BET and spectroscopic methods.
• Investigate structure-property relationships to optimize material performance for applications.
• Develop scalable and cost-effective synthesis processes for nanomaterials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate nanomaterials into devices.
• Stay current with nanoscience advances via literature and conferences.
• Author high-impact publications and patent applications.
• Mentor and guide junior researchers and staff.
