ITP (International Talent Partnership) is seeking a Senior Medium-Voltage Product Design Engineer in the Cleveland area to lead 34-38 kV MV design for compact, transportable equipment. The role covers development from concept to prototype, testing and production, with integration across mechanical, manufacturing and testing teams.

The candidate will design insulation systems, select MV components, and optimize footprints while ensuring safety and reliability in mobile power equipment projects.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in medium-voltage electrical product design / engineering.
• Strong understanding of 15 kV-40 kV+ systems.
• Practical knowledge of MV components and insulation design.

Responsabilités

• Lead electrical design and development of 34-38 kV MV power equipment.
• Develop and select MV components (switchgear, vacuum breakers, disconnects, insulators, busbars).
• Design insulation systems with creepage/clearance and dielectric coordination.
• Engineer HV systems within tight packaging constraints.
• Develop solutions to reduce equipment footprint while maintaining safety and performance.
• Support from concept through prototype, testing and production.
• Evaluate MV components, materials and technologies for new platforms.
• Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing and testing teams to integrate electrical systems into transportable equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design, testing and performance issues.
• Contribute to higher-voltage product development strategy.
