Job description

Minimum qualifications:

1. Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
2. At least 4 years of work experience in a statistical specialty (e.g., causal inference, econometrics, generalized linear models, experiment design, Bayesian statistics, advanced forecasting, machine learning).

Preferred qualifications:

1. At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a statistical specialty (e.g., causal inference, econometrics, generalized linear models, experiment design, Bayesian statistics, advanced forecasting, machine learning).
2. Experience working in the digital Ads business.
3. Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal), with the ability to tailor presentations to different audiences.

Team Overview:

The YouTube Business Go-To-Market team handles strategy, business operations, analytics, data science, partnership enablement, and product activation to drive growth and efficiency for YouTube Business. The team develops data-driven infrastructure, reports, and dashboards to support business priorities.

Role Description:

As a Senior Music Data Scientist within the YouTube Business Go-To-Market Music & Media Co Analytics team, you will collaborate with data scientists and Strategy Operations across YouTube Product and Ads. Your focus will be on applying analytical techniques such as causal inference, statistical modeling, and forecasting to solve music business problems. You will determine the best analytical approach and communicate insights effectively to decision-makers with varying technical backgrounds.

Tools and Problems:

Our work involves a broad range of methods from experimental to observational studies, addressing diverse functional and product challenges.

Compensation:

The US base salary range for this full-time role is $166,000-$244,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary is determined by role, level, location, skills, experience, and education. Specific salary details will be discussed during the hiring process. Note that listed salaries reflect base pay only; bonuses, equity, and benefits are additional.
