Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with strong Murex development experience to design, build, and support complex derivatives and reporting solutions. You will collaborate with Finance, Investment Operations, and Risk teams while integrating Murex with multiple stacks (SQL Server, Oracle, .NET/C#, Java, Python) and enterprise platforms.

The role emphasizes modernization, automation, and leadership in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, math, engineering, finance, or related field.
• Five+ years of software engineering with Java, .NET/C#, SQL or equivalent enterprise technologies.
• Hands-on Murex development or functional development experience.
• Experience integrating Murex with internal/external apps via APIs, ETL, or batch processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support Murex-based solutions across Front Office, Risk, Back Office, Accounting, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Murex and internal applications and downstream platforms.
• Translate requirements into scalable technical solutions using Murex, APIs, SQL, ETL, and reporting frameworks.
• Lead design sessions and architecture discussions for end-to-end Murex solutions and derivatives platforms.
