Transamerica is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to act as a hands-on Murex Developer and integration specialist. The role requires deep Murex expertise and the ability to integrate with multiple stacks, including SQL Server, Oracle, SSIS, SSRS, .NET/C#, Java, Python, and APIs.

You will lead design sessions, mentor engineers, and contribute to modernization of investment reporting systems. The position is hybrid, based in the United States, with involvement in cross-functional teams across

Qualifications

• Five or more years of software engineering experience using Java, .NET/C#, SQL, or equivalent enterprise development technologies.
• Hands-on Murex development experience in derivatives or reporting capabilities.
• Experience integrating Murex with internal and external applications via APIs, ETL, files, or messaging.
• Strong SQL Server and/or Oracle experience, including data modeling and performance tuning.
• Experience with ETL and data integration tools (SSIS, AWS Glue, Control-M or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support Murex-based solutions across Front Office, Risk, Back Office, Accounting, and Datamart/reporting.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Murex and internal peripheral applications and reporting platforms.
• Translate requirements into scalable solutions using Murex components, APIs, SQL, ETL, and reporting frameworks.
• Build and support Datamart reporting solutions with schemas, feeders, batches, and extraction processes.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes to move and transform trade and accounting data.
• Design, develop, and support operational, regulatory, valuation, accounting, and management reports.
