Job summary

OWN, Inc. seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to guide municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater projects from planning to live operations. You’ll design systems, run hydraulic models, and help clients secure funding through SRF, USDA RD, and CDBG.

You’ll present to city councils, oversee construction, and mentor junior staff to deliver high‑quality infrastructure. You’ll work directly with municipal officials, taking ownership of projects and building lasting relationships with communities across

Qualifications

• 5+ years of municipal water and/or wastewater design experience.
• Active PE license in Missouri or ability to obtain one.
• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree or related field.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling and producing plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Experience with infrastructure funding programs, or strong interest in building that expertise.
• Comfort presenting to city officials and public boards.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Missouri for meetings and site work.

Responsibilities

• Lead municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater projects from planning through construction.
• Lead design of water distribution systems, wells, towers, sewers, lift stations, and treatment upgrades.
• Perform and review hydraulic modeling for water and sewer systems.
• Help clients secure funding through SRF, USDA Rural Development, and CDBG, including PERs and facility plans.
• Present to city councils and utility boards as a trusted advisor.
• Provide senior oversight during construction and mentor engineers and designers on the team.
