AtkinsRéalis seeks a Senior Municipal Water Resources Engineer in Tampa, FL. You will manage multiple municipal projects, lead client negotiations and coordinate with sub-consultants to deliver on time and within budget.

You will supervise design work, prepare cost estimates and schedules, and guide junior staff in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and reporting. Florida PE licensure and 10+ years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, ideally civil with water resources
• MBA or coursework in management is a plus
• Professional Engineer in Florida with 10+ years of experience
• Experience in project management including budget, schedule and deliverables
• Experience with municipalities, water management districts, and water agencies
• Strong technical writing, computer and communication skills

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Municipal Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Tampa, FL.

Your role

• - Project manager for multiple municipal projects. Conducts contract negotiations with clients and sub-consultants.


• - Plans, schedules, billings and reports, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.


• - Performs preliminary engineering design and/or reviews the design and drafting work of junior engineers, designers or drafters.


• - Works with external clients at progress meetings and throughout project to meet client needs, project schedules, goals and deadlines.


• - Prepares cost and man-hour estimates, job budgets and schedules.


• - Performs quality control and guidance of junior staff related to hydrologic/hydraulic models or methods.


• - Prepares or oversees the preparation of final plans and design reports and submits them for approval.


• - Prepares or oversees the preparation of hydrologic/hydraulic models and modeling reports and submits them for approval.


• - Coordinates work with other engineers and professionals within and outside own discipline, and with support services staff.


• - May perform other duties as the supervisor may, from time to time, deem necessary.

About you

• - B.S. or M.S. in Engineering (preferably Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources).


• - Management coursework and/or MBA is a plus.


• - Registration as a Professional Engineer in Florida with 10+ years of experience.


• - Demonstrated experience in project management including budget, schedule and deliverable performance.


• - Demonstrated experience working with municipalities, water management districts, and other water agencies.


• - Good technical writing, computer and communications skills.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $113,000 - $188,400 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
