Job summary

Baxter & Woodman is seeking a Senior Municipal Services Engineer to serve our municipal clients across multiple Illinois locations. You will coordinate with village staff, administrators, and other stakeholders on capital projects, regulatory requirements, and funding programs.

The role requires strong civil engineering expertise, 8+ years in municipal projects, and the ability to manage and review complex development plans. Travel across Northeastern Illinois is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• Illinois PE license required or ability to obtain.
• Certified Floodplain Manager certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Act as municipal engineering advisor to staff and officials.
• Coordinate with Village administrators on capital projects and development proposals.
• Review development plans for stormwater, infrastructure, grading compliance and permits.
• Prepare development review reports and budget-related documents.
• Provide on-site construction inspection as needed for municipal projects.
• Coordinate grant/loan funding applications and EPA reporting.
