Job summary

VeeRteq Solutions Inc. seeks a Municipal Project Manager in Phoenix, AZ to lead multidisciplinary municipal infrastructure projects from planning through delivery.

You will manage design teams, liaise with clients, and ensure scope, budget, and schedule adherence. The ideal candidate has a PE license (AZ or ability to obtain within 6 months), 8+ years of civil engineering experience with 3+ years in PM, and strong leadership, communication, and QA/QC skills.

Qualifications

• Arizona PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with at least 3 years in project management overseeing municipal infrastructure.
• Experience with design and permitting of municipal infrastructure projects including water, sewer, stormwater, and roadway improvements.
• Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD Civil3D, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD and other modeling tools.
• Strong communication, leadership and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams in planning, design, and delivery of municipal infrastructure and site development projects.
• Lead preparation of engineering basis of design reports, feasibility studies, preliminary engineering, and final design documents including construction drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Serve as the primary client liaison, developing scopes of work, negotiating contracts, presenting technical findings, and ensuring responsive communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and work plans; monitor progress to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Coordinate with subconsultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and permitting requirements.
• Provide QA/QC on design deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and constructability.
• Mentor, supervise, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, EITs, CAD designers, and project staff.
• Participate in business development activities, proposal preparation, and client presentations to help grow municipal engineering services.
