Job summary

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) seeks a Municipal Team Leader in Austin, TX to guide planning, design, and delivery of municipal projects. Lead a talented team from kickoff to completion, ensuring quality, strategy, and profitable performance.

You will drive client relationships, oversee project delivery, and contribute to the team’s growth and innovation while maintaining strong internal collaboration with stakeholders in the Austin region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• PE license in Texas or transfer within 3 months of employment.
• 10+ years of civil engineering experience with leadership background.
• Ability to lead design teams in Civil3D and/or OpenRoads.
• Experience on utilities (water/wastewater, transportation, water resources) projects.

• Serve as subject matter authority in a multi-disciplinary market sector.
• Drive client relationship strategy and pursue market expansion.
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members and support career development.
• Partner in talent acquisition to attract high performers.
• Oversee proposal development and interview preparation.
• Contribute to annual business and growth strategy of the team.
• Accountable for team performance including finances and client experience.
• Align resources for balanced workloads and successful project delivery.
• Negotiate contracts with clients and subconsultants.
