Job summary
Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer / Technical Leader to join our Facilities and Water/Wastewater Structures practice.
You will lead the structural design of water and wastewater infrastructure across Texas and the Gulf Coast, serving as Engineer of Record on select assignments and mentoring junior staff. The role emphasizes technical leadership, proposal support, client interaction, quality management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas or able to obtain within six months.
- Minimum 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
- Significant experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Experience designing reinforced concrete structures per ACI/ASCE/IBC.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural design efforts for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Serve as technical lead or Engineer of Record on projects.
- Perform structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, masonry, and foundations.
- Develop plans, specifications, reports, and calculations.
- Coordinate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support design reviews, QC processes, RFIs, submittals, and field observations.
- Assist with scheduling and resource planning.
- Support proposals and client interviews.
