Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Municipal Project Manager in Columbus, OH to lead civil engineering projects from planning through construction. This role requires a PE license in Ohio and a ABET-accredited civil engineering degree, with 10+ years of municipal infrastructure experience.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and serve as Engineer of Record when applicable, while mentoring staff and expanding the Columbus market.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree required.
• PE license in Ohio required.
• 10+ years in civil engineering focused on site development and/or municipal infrastructure.
• Experience managing civil projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with Ohio permitting processes, codes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil engineering projects from planning and design through construction.
• Serve as primary client contact to ensure successful project delivery within budget.
• Lead project teams across multiple offices.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, and overall project performance.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior and mid-level staff.
• Support proposal development, client presentations, and business development.
• Participate in client meetings and project reviews.
• Contribute to growth of the Columbus office and surrounding Ohio markets.
