Job summary

Pennoni is actively seeking a Project Engineer to contribute to municipal projects from our West Chester, PA office on a full-time basis. The role covers design, permitting, and oversight across subdivision reviews, road rehab, and stormwater initiatives.

The ideal candidate will hold a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree with 8+ years of relevant experience and a PA PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months). Strong leadership and communication skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline (preferably Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering).
• 8+ years of professional experience working in Engineering, preferably with infrastructure / utility projects.
• PA PE license (we will consider candidates who can obtain within 6 months of start date).

Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of municipal engineering projects (subdivision & land development reviews, road rehabilitation, stormwater management, capital improvements, grant writing, and public meetings).
• Preparation of engineering reports.
• Work on project design and permitting.
• Review applications before planning, zoning, and/or land-use boards.
• Coordinate master planning-related tasks.
• Provide mentorship to less-experienced staff.
• Perform outdoor construction inspection work as needed.
• Additional tasks may be assigned.
