Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior Municipal Engineer to lead municipal projects in Mt. Arlington, NJ. You will review subdivision and site plans, oversee capital improvement design, and coordinate with public agencies and utilities to deliver impactful infrastructure.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, has 3–5 years of relevant experience, and possesses an EIT (PE preferred) with strong communication skills for independent and team work.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
3–5 years of capital improvement, residential and/or commercial site design experience.
EIT required; PE preferred.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
Knowledge of planning and zoning processes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter who can work independently and with a team.
Ability to read, write and understand English for job communications.

Responsibilities

Review subdivision plans and site plans submitted by developers for approval.
Administer developer-sponsored projects in construction to verify compliance with approved plans.
Design capital improvement projects for municipalities.
Evaluate public works issues within our municipalities.
