Northern Trust Asset Management is seeking an experienced fixed income trader to execute municipal bond transactions and support electronic trading across fixed income sectors. The role partners with Portfolio Managers and traders to ensure efficient execution across ETFs, SMAs, and wealth management portfolios.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with MarketAxess, Tradeweb, and Bloomberg, and will collaborate with technology, operations, and compliance teams to enhance trading
Qualifications
- Minimum of three to five years municipal bond trading experience.
- Experience in buying/selling municipal bonds and related tax-exempt securities.
Responsabilités
- Execute municipal bond transactions across sectors following PM direction and client objectives.
- Maintain understanding of bond valuations, market dynamics, and sector fundamentals.
- Develop relationships with broker-dealers to source liquidity and achieve best execution.
- Coordinate portfolio transitions, including tax-loss harvesting and cash deployment.
- Collaborate with PMs on positioning, strategy, and implementation in line with client goals.
