Job summary

The Municipality of Anchorage seeks a Finance/Accounting professional to support the Solid Waste Services payroll, billing, and general accounting duties at CTS in Anchorage.

Under general supervision, this role prepares journal entries, loads them into the financial software, performs GL reconciliations, maintains asset records, and assists auditors with questions. A CPA and related accounting experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• CPA certification and related accounting experience.
• Five years of professional accounting, payroll, or similar work.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee department payroll and customer billing.
• Post journal entries and load to the financial software.
• Perform G/L reconciliations and assist with audits.
• Maintain asset records and depreciation schedules.
