Job summary

Strategic Government Resources, Inc. in Irving, TX seeks an experienced municipal accounting professional to prepare and review bank reconciliations, oversee utility billing accounting activities, and assist with the ACFR and audits.

You will respond to audit requests, supervise staff, and support month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field, with at least three years of accounting experience, including

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required or equivalent experience.
Three years of accounting experience including bank reconciliations required.
Supervisory or lead experience and municipal accounting preferred.
Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems required.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review bank reconciliations and oversee general ledger activity.
Oversee utility billing accounting activities and process city refunds.
Research and resolve account discrepancies; assist with month-end and year-end close.
Support ACFR preparation, annual audits, and respond to audit requests.
Supervise assigned accounting staff and coordinate training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
