Meta’s Applied AI (AAI) organization seeks a senior software engineer for Multimedia & Multimodal AI to lead data-driven evaluation and generation pipelines across image, video, audio, and speech. You will decide what data to produce, set measurement standards, and own end-to-end pipelines from ideas to production.

You will work across modalities, mentor engineers, and help scale experiments, with a focus on responsible AI, reproducibility, and impact.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science or related field.
6+ years coding or 3+ years with a PhD.
3+ years building ML systems in production or research.
Strong Python and PyTorch.
Experience with speech, audio, or music ML.
Experience with large-scale data pipelines and distributed training.
Track record translating research ideas into measurable systems.

Responsibilities

Design and build agentic workflows and data pipelines for multimodal data production and evaluation.
Own data pipelines for ingestion, filtering, labeling, and provenance tracking.
Build evaluation infrastructure with objective metrics and human-in-the-loop tests.
Improve training efficiency and reliability with distributed training and resource utilization.
Reproduce state-of-the-art methods and implement new research in codebases.
