WITF in Harrisburg, PA, is seeking a Senior Editor who can ideate and shepherd local content from concept to broadcast, collaborating with the news team and audience editor to deliver polished, community-centered programming across platforms.

The Senior Editor is responsible for ideating to help generate local content, cross-departmental communication/production, vetting of independent production, and producing content from concept to broadcast. The ideal candidate is curious about the intersection of local and national news and culture, and a skilled audio and video produce. This position reports to the Program Director and works closely with producers, news team, and audience editor, and others to deliver polished, community centered programming across platforms.
This person must innately understand the digital landscape, including trends, opportunities, audience behavior, community management, and intersections with social media. They will ensure that our content reaches and serves diverse audiences, builds healthy engagement, and maximizes sustainability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Education and/or Experience: Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field and a minimum of five years of professional experience with video production and creative direction or an equivalent amount of experience in lieu of education. Understanding of digital content marketplace and competitive landscape including experience publishing to modern digital platforms is required.
