EliseAI is seeking a Property Accountant to ensure accounting integrity across resident ledgers and workflows for multifamily clients. You will be the in-house authority on multifamily accounting, helping teams integrate with client accounting systems and ensure accurate month-end closes.

This role requires deep US GAAP knowledge, superb communication with client accounting, operations, and leasing teams, and willingness to work in person at our office 4–5 days a week.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in multifamily property accounting or controllership (PMC/owner-operator/REIT).
• Deep knowledge of GL, sub-ledgers, resident ledgers, deposits, and close.
• Comfortable communicating with client accounting/operations/leasing teams.
• Crisp stakeholder communications, including writing & presentations.
• Willingness to work in person at our office 4-5 days a week.

Aufgaben

• Advise on core scenarios - Guide treatment of rent, concessions, deposits/refunds, subsidies/HAP, delinquencies, utilities, move-in/out, and month-end close
• Translate workflows into requirements - Turn real-world accounting cases into clear requirements and acceptance tests; pressure-test features before release
• Review calculations and language - Validate prorations, allocations, adjustments, and charge/credit logic for accuracy and explainability
• Lead testing and validation - Develop representative test cases, run UAT with client accountants, and confirm outputs reconcile to expectations
• Define standards and terminology - Establish consistent event lifecycles, terms, and concise reference guides for controllers and onsite teams
• Capture best practices - Distill patterns and edge cases from enterprise customers into durable standards and playbooks
