Job summary

Northern Impact LLC. in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead multifamily and mixed-use projects. The role is hybrid with 3 days in the office and involves ownership from pursuit through construction administration.

Responsibilities include developing proposals, managing budgets and schedules, coordinating teams, and maintaining client relationships. Senior PM adds greater responsibility for financial performance and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in architecture firms with project-management responsibility.
• Experience on multifamily and mixed-use architectural projects.
• Experience developing proposals and managing scope, fees, schedules, and budgets.
• Strong understanding of architectural project delivery, codes, permitting, and construction administration.
• Ability to lead teams, coordinate consultants, and manage client relationships.
• Excellent communication, organization, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with architectural design, documentation, and project-management tools.
• Ability to work in the Long Beach office three days per week.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture; licensure not required for PM.

Responsibilities

• Lead multifamily and mixed-use projects through all phases of architectural service.
• Develop proposals, including scope of work, fees, schedules, staffing plans, and consultant requirements.
• Manage project budgets, resources, milestones, and deliverables across multiple assignments.
• Serve as a primary client contact, maintaining clear communication and strong working relationships.
• Lead and coordinate architects, designers, technical staff, and external consultants.
• Oversee documentation, quality reviews, permitting, agency coordination, and construction administration.
• Monitor project financial performance and support billing, invoicing, and forecasting.
• Mentor team members and support new and repeat business through strong client service.
