Job summary

JPI in Dallas, TX seeks a Senior Interior Designer to lead design development for multifamily projects, coordinating with architecture, development, and construction to translate vision into documentation. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in design teams for multifamily, mixed-use or hospitality, with NCIDQ/RID preferred and strong knowledge of specifications, ADA guidelines, and FF&E decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design is required or preferred.
• 5–7 years’ experience in design teams for multifamily, mixed-use or hospitality.
• NCIDQ or RID certification preferred where applicable.
• Knowledge of interior design specifications, codes, ADA guidelines, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the interior design vision and concept development for multifamily projects (clubhouses, units, amenities, corridors, leasing).
• Translate conceptual direction into fully realized design solutions aligned with budgets and brand.
• Lead the interior design process to ensure design quality, code compliance, and documentation.
• Select finishes, materials, lighting, and FF&E with focus on durability and aesthetics.
• Present ID plans, materials, and FF&E to owners and financial partners.
• Mentor junior designers and coordinate with drafting teams to ensure consistency.
• Coordinate with Construction Administration Manager on submittals and RFIs to preserve design intent.
• Collaborate with consultants, Director of Design, and cross-functional teams.
• Assist in collecting design components and best practices from market trends.
