Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) seeks a Multidisciplinary Systems Engineer to define architectures, manage requirements, risks, interfaces, and configurations across teams in a mission-driven environment.

The role supports the Strategic & Military Space Division, delivering satellite and sensor systems for DoD and IC. A broad technical foundation and strong communication are essential to coordinate diverse engineering efforts and ensure cohesive execution.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of systems engineering processes across the system lifecycle.
• Experience with requirements development and verification, system architecture, interface management, risk management, configuration management, and trade studies.
• Ability to evaluate technical alternatives and their impacts on performance, cost, schedule, risk, and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Leads or independently executes systems engineering activities throughout the lifecycle: requirements, architecture, design, integration, verification, validation, and test.
• Identifies and manages technical risks with mitigation strategies.
• Creates and maintains programmatic and technical documentation for planning and reviews.
• Coordinates engineering activities to ensure deliverables satisfy requirements and align with program objectives.
• Provides systems engineering oversight of design, integration, verification, and test activities.
