Job summary

SteerBridge is seeking a Construction Manager – Project Manager (CM-PM) to serve as a central project-management and coordination resource supporting Construction Facilities Management work for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) at its Washington, DC facility.

The CM-PM maintains visibility across multiple concurrent construction, renovation, assessment, and facility‑improvement efforts; helps BEP technical specialists advance their projects; and ensures that scope, schedule, cost,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, building construction, or construction management.
  • Minimum of six years of specialized experience in commercial construction project management.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinaryConstruction projects spanning electrical, mechanical, structural, architectural, and fire protection/life-safety disciplines.
  • Technical writing skills for scopes of work, acquisition plans, and procurement documents.
  • Cost estimating skills for design efforts, construction contracts, and building assessments.
  • Strong communication skills with BEP personnel and contractors.
  • Familiarity with building renovation and construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Project Portfolio Tracking & Controls: maintain status across BEP construction and related projects.
  • Establish trackers, milestones, logs, and recurring status reports.
  • Monitor scope, schedule, budget, dependencies, and deliverables for each effort.
  • Identify stalled or at-risk projects and elevate issues needing management attention.
  • Monitor contractor and project schedules for milestones and impacts to BEP operations.
  • Multidisciplinary Project Coordination: coordinate across electrical, mechanical, structural, architectural, and fire protection systems.
  • Assist discipline leads with organizing requirements and advancing project decisions.
  • Coordinate with BEP personnel, designers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to move projects forward.
  • Participate in meetings, site visits, design reviews, and status meetings.
  • Document decisions, assign actions, track due dates, and confirm closure.
  • Scope Development & Acquisition Support: translate technical requirements into executable project packages.
  • Support acquisition plans, market surveys, and procurement documentation.
  • Assist BEP specialists in defining objectives, constraints, and acceptance criteria.
  • Cost Estimating & Cost Management: develop and review cost estimates and budgets.
  • Support pricing reviews, changes, and cost impacts for BEP personnel.
  • Design & Construction Phase Support: review drawings and schedules for coordination issues.
  • Participate in site walks and assess field conditions to validate requirements.
  • Support progress monitoring, change management, and project closeout.
  • Communication, Reporting, & Documentation: prepare status updates and management briefings.
  • Escalate material schedule, cost, or scope concerns promptly.
