Job summary

Slalom seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead our multi-cloud Infrastructure Engineering team. You will manage AWS, Azure, GCP, and Snowflake environments, uphold security and compliance standards, and mentor Tier I/II engineers to handle escalations.

You will drive cost optimization, design guardrails, and collaborate with architecture to shape the cloud roadmap across Slalom's global infrastructure. Strong automation and governance skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, API Gateway, Route 53, IAM, AWS Backup) and basic networking/security
• Proficient in cost management, budgeting, and resource optimization
• Automation skills with AWS CLI, PowerShell, Bash, Python or Go
• Hands-on multi-cloud experience; AWS required, Azure/GCP/Snowflake a plus
• Proficiency with version control and collaboration tools (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, Azure DevOps)
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication abilities
• Experience with monitoring/telemetry tools and security collaboration with Infosec

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS, Azure, GCP, and Snowflake cloud platforms
• Maintain baseline compliance across clouds with guardrails and IAM
• Drive cost optimization by identifying unused resources and managing reserved instances
• Mentor Infrastructure Operations engineers and support escalation resolutions
• Create runbooks, SOPs, and technical documentation
• Collaborate with architects to translate designs into scalable implementations
