Job summary

Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) is seeking a Senior MuleSoft Integration Developer to lead complex API and integration initiatives using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. You will design, develop, test, and implement secure integration solutions that align with agency SDLC and PMLC standards.

The role requires strong Java/.NET skills, API governance expertise, and the ability to mentor junior staff while delivering enterprise-wide integration during agile project cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least five (5) years of IT experience in software development.
• At least two (2) years of hands-on MuleSoft API and integration development.
• Experience in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, deploys, and maintains RESTful and SOAP-based APIs and integration flows.
• Writes scalable, secure, and highly available integration solutions.
• Mentors and guides junior technical staff; acts as a technical lead when needed.
• Oversees API security standards including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and SAML.
