Job summary

Clarivate Analytics is seeking an experienced MSSQL Developer (DBA Engineer) to join a small, highly technical SQL Server team. This hands-on role focuses on designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining MSSQL data platforms across AWS, Azure, and on‑prem environments, with autonomy and collaboration with global stakeholders.

You will contribute to performance, security, backup/recovery, and high availability, while mentoring developers and guiding deployments.

Qualifications

7+ years of MSSQL DBA and SQL development experience.
Strong MSSQL Server architecture, logical/physical design knowledge.
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
US Citizen or Green Card holder with active Public Trust.
PostgreSQL/MySQL knowledge is a plus.
Backup, recovery, security, and high availability expertise.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain databases for development, testing, education, and production.
Plan capacity and optimize database performance and reliability.
Collaborate with system administration on remediation and standards.
Troubleshoot data integrity and performance issues.
Perform ongoing tuning and patching of MSSQL instances.
Plan backup/recovery strategies and security configurations.
Advise developers on deployment and database server config.
Monitor alerts and ensure uptime and resource efficiency.
