Job summary

Sunayu, LLC is seeking a seasoned Microsoft SQL Server Administrator to support the National Digital Exploitation & OSINT Center (NDOC). The role focuses on database reliability, security, and performance across MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL in a high-security, agile environment.

Responsibilities include lifecycle management, DR planning, and optimization, with a requirement for DoD 8140.03 compliant certifications. US citizenship and TS/SCI with Poly are required per contract needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 8+ years.
• 8+ years of hands-on MS SQL Server administration experience.
• Experience with MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) experience.
• Backup strategies and shell scripting for DB management.
• Experience in Agile environments and strong communication.
• DoDM 8140.03 IT System Admin Intermediate cert (or higher) requirement.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Perform lifecycle activities: install, configure, patch, monitor.
• Implement disaster recovery strategies and index maintenance.
• Monitor health using SSMS; manage CPU/memory/disk usage.
• Ensure security through access controls and audit logs.
• Produce documentation and reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with government customers in an Agile environment.
• Support high-security operations and incident response.
