Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison to be field-based for the US Pacific Northwest, ideally Seattle, WA. The role focuses on external expert engagement, data interpretation, and compliant dissemination of scientific information.

The position requires 2+ years as an MSL (pharma), advanced degrees, and the ability to travel up to 70%. Remote/virtual work is supported within the US, with base salary in the stated range.

Qualifications

• Dissemination of complex scientific data to healthcare audiences.
• Relevant therapeutic area knowledge and expertise.
• Clinical, research, and/or teaching experience.
• Ability to work effectively in virtual and cross-functional teams.
• Compliance with legal, regulatory and ethical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Externally-focused KOL/HCP activities comprise 80%+ of responsibilities.
• Build and maintain relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans aligned to medical strategy.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Takeda disease areas and products; disseminate information in a compliant, fair-balanced manner.
• Support Takeda-sponsored research and assist with investigator-initiated projects.
• Capture medical insights from KOLs/HCPs to refine medical strategies.
• Identify partnerships between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
• Participate in medical strategy at conferences and communicate insights from venues.
• Respond to unsolicited HCP inquiries via Medical Information; document activities timely.

Master’s degree in health sciences

Doctoral degree in life/health sciences
