Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison (Associate Director) in Nephrology to advance ecosystem-based engagement with KIs, LPLs, healthcare providers and patient groups.

The role emphasizes clinical, economic and humanistic insights to improve patient outcomes within the territory and may cover multiple products. The position requires medical/PhD training and 5+ years in Medical Affairs, with up to 70% travel.

Qualifications

• MD/DO, PharmD or PhD in life sciences required.
• Minimum 5+ years’ relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry Medical Affairs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; cross-functional teamwork.
• Ability to lead others and project teams; strategic mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, scientific and health economic information related to nephrology and immunology.
• Engage with Key Influencers, Local Practice Leaders, healthcare providers and patient groups.
• Translate ecosystem strategy into local medical plans and education.
• Disseminate disease state and healthcare landscape information to customers in the field.
• Lead internal collaborations across matrix teams and regional FMA leadership.
• Support clinical trials programs and health economic outcomes research.
• Contribute to training of promotional and disease state speakers.
