Job summary

Cloud Analytics Technologies, LLC is seeking a senior SQL Server Database Administrator to manage and optimize our SQL Server estate. You will work on versions from 2008 through 2022, implementing high availability, backups, restores, and migrations while driving performance improvements.

Ideal candidates will have 6-8 years of hands-on DBA experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to automate tasks with PowerShell.

Qualifications

6-8 years of Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration experience in SQL Server 2008R2/2008/2012/2014/2016/2017/2019/2022.
Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2017/2019/2022.
Experience in migrating from older to newer SQL Server versions.
Upgrading SQL Server and applying service packs and patches.

Responsibilities

Actively involved in troubleshooting incidents and system performance by tuning SQL queries and stored procedures using Query Store, SQL Profiler, DMVs and other tools.
Create and manage DB maintenance plans; rebuild/reorganize indexes; run integrity checks.
Implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery strategies (Always On AKs, replication, log shipping, clustering).
Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell and SQL scripting.
