Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking a Senior Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist to perform advanced imaging and lead and mentor staff as needed. The role emphasizes optimizing MRI software, hardware, coils, and accessories while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The position requires strong technical knowledge of MRI operation, contrast administration, and patient care, with a focus on QA/QC, training, and staying abreast of imaging advances.

Qualifications

• HS or GED and Radiology education required.
• ARRT, MRT, and MRI certifications required.
• 6+ years of MRI-related experience required.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quality control and accreditation documentation.
• Ensure MRI technologists are trained on equipment and techniques.
• Stay updated on MRI technology and implement workflow improvements.
• Set quality control protocols per JCAHO, ACR, OSHA, TDH.
• Perform preventive maintenance on MRI equipment.
• Collaborate to monitor CQI and ACR QA/QC programs.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
