Job summary

St. David’s Medical Center in Austin is seeking an experienced Lead MRI Technologist to join a respected healthcare system. You will perform MRI scans and radiographs, prepare patients, document thoroughly, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging.

The role requires MRI experience in acute care, an associate degree, and ARRT-R and BLS certifications. This position sits within a large hospital network offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• One year experience performing MRI procedures in an acute care setting - required.
• Associate Degree.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy.
• (ARRT-R) Radiography.
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures; provide instructions to obtain desired results and minimize anxiety.
• Complete required documentation on forms, logs, workstation, and Meditech.
• Administer contrast using proper technique.
• Produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patients.
• Label images and identify according to protocol.
• Communicate pertinent information to interpreting radiologist in a timely manner.
