Job summary

St. David's Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MR imaging and radiography per ARRT standards. The role involves preparing patients, administering contrast, acquiring high-quality scans, labeling images, and coordinating with radiologists. Prior MR experience and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• One year experience performing MRI procedures in an acute care setting is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy.
• (ARRT-R) Radiography credential.
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer credential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures and provide instructions to obtain optimal results and reduce anxiety.
• Complete required documentation on forms, logs, workstation and Meditech.
• Administer contrast using proper technique.
• Produce scans of diagnostic quality.
• Label images and identify according to protocol.
• Communicate pertinent information to interpreting radiologist promptly.
