Job summary

University of Miami Hospital & Clinics - Imaging Services is seeking an Radiology Imaging Specialist to perform ultrasound and MRI procedures under radiologist supervision. You will coordinate patient flow, assist with protocol development, and ensure safety and accuracy in imaging.

The role requires Florida radiographer licensing, a high school diploma, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. This is a full-time position located at University of Miami Hospital & Clinics imaging services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures.
• Perform diagnostic imaging studies under radiologist supervision.
• Assist with education and training of new physicians.
• Assist in developing imaging protocols and ultrasound techniques.
• Monitor charging of ultrasound procedures and supplies daily for accuracy.
• Position patients and ensure aseptic technique during exams.
• Verify patient identity and obtain informed consent as required.
• Adhere to MRI safety protocols and ensure high-quality imaging.
• Label and transmit MRI images to PACS in proper sequence.
• Adhere to policies and safeguard university assets.
