Responsibilities

• Verify patient ID, DOB, and document clinical history for procedures.
• Assist with pre-procedure interviews and document relevant data.
• Ensure attending radiologist obtains proper informed consent.
• Prepare patient to minimize anxiety and gain cooperation.
• Notify relevant staff of changes in patient status during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and aseptic procedures throughout.
• Assist radiologist with supplies during procedures.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Position patient and obtain scout film with good technical quality.
• Provide patient education in collaboration with department staff.
• Assist in CPR and life support during emergencies as needed.
