Qualifications

• Must be registered by ARRT (MR) and hold a current Florida General Radiographer license if performing Radiographic procedures.
• Five to ten years of clinical experience in MRI with proficiency in at least five specialty MRI procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for MRI examinations and assists during procedures.
• Reviews medical records to verify physician's orders before examination.
• Cross trains in other specialty areas to enhance skills.
• Maintains equipment and operates safely according to hospital policy.
• Demonstrates knowledge of computer systems related to MRI.

Skills

Registered Technologist by ARRT (MR)

BLS/CPR certified

Expertise in MRI procedures

Computer skills (EPIC, SYNAPSE)

Education

Graduate of AMA Accredited Radiologic Technology Program
