Qualifikationen

• Must be radiology certified and meet 42 CFR Part 75 credentialing standards.
• Specialized experience: one year performing MRI diagnostic equipment or quality control procedures.
• Education: Master's degree or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education directly related to Diagnostic Radiology/Radiography.

• Operates MRI procedures independently with attention to protocols, patient care, and magnet safety.
• Receives and reviews MRI requests from physicians and other health care providers.
• Determines necessary procedures and equipment to meet patient case needs.
• Positions patient for examination and explains procedures to ensure cooperation.
• Retrieves lab results and assesses criteria for gadolinium-based contrast use.
• Notifies Radiologist if further consent is needed for patients with renal impairment.
• Researches implants/devices for MRI safety considerations.
• Operates and customizes MRI equipment within the Military Health System.
• Adjusts technique to capture medically significant findings and handles unanticipated conditions.
