Job summary

Altitude Aerospace in Dallas–Fort Worth, TX, seeks a Liaison Stress Engineer to analyze structural repairs and coordinate with MRB teams to disposition repairs in real time. You will bridge shop floor and engineering, performing stress assessments and communicating repair dispositions to maintenance and management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in aerospace/mechanical/structural engineering, 5+ years of stress analysis in aerospace, and onsite work in a dynamic maintenance environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering required.
  • Strong analytical skills and communication are essential.
  • Experience analyzing structural repairs and substantiating repairs per SRM and regs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform stress analysis on structural repairs and damage substantiation.
  • Evaluate repair schemes against SRMs and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct hand calculations and FEM-based assessments to validate repair integrity.
  • Review non-conformances and engineering discrepancies from maintenance inspections.
  • Coordinate with design, stress, manufacturing and quality teams to implement dispositions.
