Job summary

FastTek Global in Lansing, Michigan is seeking a Programmer Analyst to maintain and support MDHHS MPI, MIDSP, and related Symmetry applications within the Technology and Database group. The role involves SDLC, requirements gathering, scripting, and collaboration with DB and infrastructure teams to ensure data integrity and compliance.

The candidate will lead efforts, support major apps like Bridges and MiIntegrate, and help implement enhancements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience supporting enterprise-scale systems.
• Hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere MDM v14.x Standard Edition (Virtual MDM), including MDM data models, entities, transactions, batch processing, configuration, customization, and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka
• Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
• Experience with Java / J2EE including REST/SOAP services
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting (Bash)
• Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud/containerized deployments

Responsibilities

• Write high level functional requirement documents.
• Work in Linux Operating Systems.
• Develop scripts in PowerShell.
• Work in Git and GitHub for repositories.
• Work closely with Database Administrators to develop and execute SQL scripts.
• Create monthly reports for MDM applications.
• Collaborate with clients for task and ticket resolutions in MPI and MIDSP.
• Assist with deployment of certificates on Windows and Linux systems.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure teams for maintenance and issue resolution.
• Execute full SDLC including requirements gathering and specifications writing.
• Develop prototypes and mockups for user review and approval.
• Create flowcharts and documentation to ensure logical system requirements.
• Assist with EASA hosting documents and Firewall Rules.
• Design and implement test plans and reports for applications or subsystems.
• Create test data and execute tests to verify program logic.
• Assist with UAT testing and post-implementation testing.
• Provide defect and incident tracking information.
• Assist with RFC implementations.
• Maintain system documentation after upgrades.
• Monitor production and non-production environments.
• Provide application support for DTMB clients.
• Deliver product and service based on core SDLC concepts.
