Job summary

InstantServe LLC seeks a senior developer to maintain, support and enhance its Master Person Index (MPI), Michigan Index Data Stewardship Portal (MIDSP), and Symmetry applications. You will work hands-on with IBM InfoSphere MDM, Kafka, and WildFly, contributing to data integrity and secure integrations for MDHHS systems such as Bridges, MiIntegrate and HESB.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience supporting enterprise-scale systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere MDM v14.x Standard Edition — Virtual MDM, including data models, entities, transactions, batch processing, configuration, customization and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication.
• 8+ years of Java/J2EE experience, including Java, JSP, REST/SOAP services and production troubleshooting.
• 5+ years of Linux/Unix experience, including command-line operations, log analysis and system troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of MDM concepts and the ability to maintain and enhance an existing third-party IBM MDM Standard Edition implementation.
• Kafka topic configuration, producer/consumer development and message-flow troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with ZooKeeper, Kafka KRaft and the Strimzi operator.
• WildFly deployment, configuration, health checks and runtime troubleshooting.
• Batch processing and integrations involving WildFly, Kafka and IBM MDM.
• SQL development and query optimization using Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Bash scripting, operational automation and CRON job scheduling.
• Cloud and container deployment experience, including AWS, Azure, OpenShift/OCP or Kubernetes.
• ELK/Elastic Stack experience for monitoring and correlating logs across Kafka, WildFly and MDM.
• Ability to independently support mission-critical production systems.
