Job summary

Bluestar Move Management in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Senior Move Specialist for part-time, project-based work. You will assist seniors and families with downsizing, packing, organizing, and settling into a new home, focusing on service and care over traditional moving.

This hands-on role requires compassion, reliability, and strong organizational skills. Projects typically range 2 to 8 hours, with flexible scheduling and the chance for recurring work throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in moving or service-focused roles is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel throughout the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding areas.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, bend, climb stairs, and stay active throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Carefully pack household belongings, including fragile items.
• Assist clients with downsizing, sorting, and organizing personal belongings.
• Label and organize boxes for moving and unpacking.
• Unpack and organize clients' new homes with care.
• Assist with light furniture placement and home setup.
• Provide compassionate, respectful, and professional service.
