Job summary

Confidential, Detroit-based, seeks a Motion Graphics Designer to partner with Creative, Editorial, Design, Production and Post-Production teams to develop and execute motion graphics across a diverse range of projects.

This role translates creative direction into engaging visuals, from concepts and style frames through animation and final delivery for branded entertainment, campaigns, digital content, and title sequences.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in motion graphics or related field.
• Proficiency in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Experience with 2D animation, typography and compositing.
• Experience creating motion graphics for various platforms.
• Strong understanding of editorial and post-production workflows incl. Premiere Pro.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools and new production technologies.
• Strong visual storytelling, design instincts and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design and animate high-quality motion graphics for entertainment, advertising, branded content and social/video productions.
• Translate briefs, concepts and visual references into motion design solutions.
• Develop style frames, storyboards, animatics and motion concepts that communicate direction.
• Collaborate with Creative Directors, Editors and Producers to integrate graphics with content.
• Stay informed on emerging techniques and production workflows; explore new tools when appropriate.
