Job summary

Perplexity is seeking a Senior Motion Designer to own motion graphics and GTM video output across our social channels. You will concept, animate, and ship high-quality, on-brand motion work that moves our storytelling forward.

This is a video-production-first role. You’ll collaborate with Brand, Growth, and Comms to scale motion across formats, contribute to motion principles, and explore AI-assisted workflows as our practice matures.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in motion graphics and animation with video as core craft.
• Strong portfolio of social, campaign, and GTM content demonstrating range and polish.
• Solid grasp of timing, spacing, composition, and visual rhythm.

Responsibilities

• Own the creation of motion graphics and video content for our social channels — concepting, storyboarding, animating, and delivering GTM materials end-to-end
• Make video production a primary focus: high-volume, polished, on-brand motion work
• Bring ideas to life across 2D and 3D, from styleframes to final delivery
• Partner with Brand and Growth to turn launches into effective social motion
• Contribute to motion principles and templates for scalable workflows
• Explore new tools and AI-assisted workflows to mature the motion practice
• Collaborate with Producer on scoping, scheduling, and timely delivery
