Job summary

Pura USA is seeking a lead motion designer to elevate motion across our product, app, and marketing platforms. You will own the motion language, build a scalable system, and drive high‑craft animations in a consumer tech environment.

This hands‑on role collaborates with Brand and engineering, employing After Effects, Cinema 4D, Figma, and Lottie to deliver cohesive experiences. You’ll mentor teammates while reducing agency reliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–12 years of professional motion design experience, with a substantial, proven track record leading digital product/UX motion at a consumer tech company.
• Advanced 3D rendering and animation skills (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender) for high-production-value renderings.
• Deep expertise in After Effects, plus fluency in Figma; UI prototyping tools like Principle/ProtoPie are helpful.
• Hands-on experience with implementation formats (Lottie, Rive, Bodymovin) and collaborating with engineers.
• Mastery of core animation principles and experience building a motion design system or style guide end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Pura's cross-platform motion design system across product, app, website, and brand.
• Define motion principles, timing and easing standards; document a scalable motion style guide and token system.
• Collaborate with iOS, Android, and web engineers to implement animations accurately (Lottie/Rive or native).
• Build high-fidelity animated prototypes to communicate intent to engineers and stakeholders.
• Mentor designers in motion fundamentals and reduce reliance on external agencies for ambitious projects.
