Job summary

You will collaborate with the underwriting team to provide a customer experience aligned with the company’s goals and support internal and external customers.

The ideal candidate has five years of underwriting experience with conventional first mortgage loans, strong knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac

Qualifications

• Five years of underwriting experience with conventional first mortgage loans
• Strong knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac underwriting requirements
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze complex transactions and research guideline questions

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate mortgage applications for compliance with investor and company guidelines
• Analyze income, assets, credit, collateral, occupancy, and transaction risk
• Conditionally approve, suspend, or recommend denial based on guidelines
• Identify discrepancies and additional documentation needed to support underwriting decisions
• Document decisions clearly and communicate conditions concisely
