Job summary

Winchester Co-operative Bank in Winchester, MA is seeking a Senior Loan Processor/Junior Underwriter to support residential mortgage loan processing from application to closing. Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years residential lending processing or banking experience.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in loan documentation.
• Ability to communicate with borrowers, officers, attorneys, and staff to resolve conditions.
• Experience reviewing income, assets, liabilities, credit, and disclosures.
• Familiar with appraisals, title work, and verifications.

Responsibilities

• Review new loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Collect, organize, and validate borrower documentation.
• Obtain and review third‑party services (appraisals, title work, flood certs).
• Communicate with borrowers, officers, and attorneys to resolve conditions.
• Track milestones and move files through mortgage process.
• Prepare and issue initial Loan Estimates and re‑disclosures.
• Assist underwriters and prep files for final underwriting.
• Review and clear routine underwriting conditions.
• Maintain compliance logs and deadline tracking.
• Prepare commitment letters and distribute to attorneys/loan officers.
• Assist closing with pre‑closing conditions.
